 What is HTML ?

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is the building block of a web page. It defines the structure of an web page. 

Introduction to HTML 

It allow us to create hypertext links , commonly known as hyperlink. It has the collection of elements that allow us to create a webpage. The HTML document was designed by Tim Berners Lee at Cern at the time of 1990 world wide project. Dan Connolly in 1992 wrote the html document type definition.

HTML Tags 

HTML tags are used to make whole web pages. There are two types of tags :-

• Paired Tag 
• Singular Tag 

Paired Tags - These tags begin with < > and ends with < / >.

Singular Tags - These tags begin and ends with <../ >.
